Ive said it before but this time hopefully I mean it. More art shall be made! Heres to not caring and just creating!

     I think I have ADD... add me to the millions who falsely attribute their lack of attention to ADD.   No not really, but how come sometimes I can get sucked into a painting and paint for 12 hours straight and other times I can barely stick with it for 20 minutes...  Its not that I dont want to paint.  Its not lack of inspiration.   I think it is because if I dont finish a painting  in one sitting, it is very difficult to get back into the FEEL of the painting.       I dont know if that makes any sense to our studio audience, but bear with me.  Its like, when I start a painting, it reflects my current mood and thoughts to some extent.  N

I have to get something out.   It really bothers me when people say my artwork is morbid or grotesque.  While it is true I incorporate alot of organic forms and shapes into my artwork, it is because I see the beauty in them.  I believe the things which most people consider ugly are truly beautiful.  Have you ever watched the human heart beating during open heart surgery?  It is a beautiful sight.  It should not be considered disgusting.  So please,  when you view some of my artwork, try to see the beauty I am trying to portray, not the ugliness or creepiness.   kudos Femur Mike
